Spanish coach Luis Marimon has been announced as Helvécia’s Head Coach for the remaining of the season. Technical Director Idafe Pérez Jiménez had been taking care of the team in an interim basis since November.
Luis, a UEFA ‘Pro’ Licensed coach with previous experience in Spain, Italy and Andorra, will need to hit the ground running, with Baku United as rivals in his first game in charge. The new coach said:
¨This is a new very motivating challenge for me professionally. This is a growing league, and a Club that wants to step-up and has a clear intention of growing, both on and off the court. The Club have brought me to help and guide the team towards our common aim. I´m very happy, enthused and motivated with this project.
I believe I can work well here and in the work we can do together. I will add my experience and education to the Club’s and the players’ benefit. I can guarantee professional, planned and organised work, serious and disciplined but always creting a good working atmosphere, which I see as very important. Effort though is non-negotiable. I hope everything goes well and that I can contribute towards the Club’s objectives, which are winning the National championship and the FA Cup.
